Connecting ColorBulb to Wi-Fi

A few things you will need to check before starting:

 

• Make sure the Data Roaming Access is turned on in your phone 

• Make sure the Wi-Fi in your home is currently working.  

• Is your home Wi-Fi  2.4ghz? (If you are not sure you will need to check with your Wi-Fi provider. The ColorBulb will not connect to 5ghz Wi-Fi.)

• If you have dual Wi-Fi in your home, be sure both are working on the same password.  Be sure nobody in your home has changed the Wi-Fi  password.

• If your router allows you to switch back and forth from 2.4ghz to 5ghz on the router itself, make sure it is set at 2.4 for this process.

 

Step 1:

When beginning the process, start by powering off the light bulb for 5 seconds. Then power back on. 

 

Step 2: 

Open up the Tzumi SmartHome App

Tap the Add Device  button in the top right corner of the home screen and select Lighting > Smart Bulb. 
The following screen will ask you to reset your device.
 

Step 3: 
Please power off and on your light bulb 3 times. Wait at least 1 second between each.

Watch the light to see if it is blinking rapidly or slowly.  We want it to blink slowly. 

This may take a few tries, so power on and off 3 times again if necessary.
 

Step 4: 
When it is blinking slowly go back into the app. 
In the top right corner of the screen it will say EZ MODE.  

Tap this and change to AP MODE, then confirm this page. 
 

Step 5: 
Enter your Wi-Fi Information.

Be sure you are using the correct Wi-Fi  password! 

the App will not inform you if the wrong password was entered; it will continue on as normal but will not connect at the end of the process. 

 

Step 6: 
On the next page, Tap go to connect. 

This will take you to your Wi-Fi settings. 

Wait for SmartLife or Tzumi SL to show up as an option and select. 

Then open the App back up and it will begin to add the device.

Your SmartBulb should pair within a minute and be ready for App control and use!
