A few things you will need to check before starting:

• Make sure the Data Roaming Access is turned on in your Phone

• Make sure the Wi-Fi in your home is currently working.

• Is your home Wi-Fi  2.4ghz? (If you are not sure you will need to check with your Wi-Fi provider. The lightstrip will not connect to 5ghz Wi-Fi.)

• Make sure you are using the correct Wi-Fi  password.  When entering into the App, it will not inform you if the wrong password was entered. It will continue on as normal but will not connect at the end of the process.

• If you have dual Wi-Fi in your home, make sure both are working on the same password.  Be sure nobody in your home has changed the Wi-Fi  password!

• If your router allows you to switch back and forth from 2.4 to 5 on the router itself, make sure it is set at 2.4 for this process.

Step 1:

Start by powering off the light strips by unplugging them from source power for 5 seconds. Then power back on. This is a full reset.

Step 2:

Open up the Tzumi Smart Home App and begin adding device.

Select the + screen in the top right corner of the home screen and select Lighting > LED Strip.

On the following screen where it asks to reset your device, let's try something different.

Press and hold the power button on cord of your light strips until you see them start to flash.

After it beeps watch the light to see if it is blinking rapidly or slowly. We want it to blink slowly. This may take a few tries so press and hold again if necessary.

When it is blinking slowly go back into the app.

Step 3:

In the top right corner of the screen it will say EZ MODE. Press this and change to AP MODE.

Then confirm this page.

Step 4:

Enter your Wi-Fi Information and click Next.

Make sure you are using the correct Wi-Fi  password!

The app will not inform you if the wrong password was entered and will continue on as normal but will not connect at the end of the process.

Step 5:

On the next page select Go to Connect.

This will take you to your Wi-Fi settings.

Wait for SmartLife or Tzumi SL to show up as an option and select it.

Open the SmartHome App back up and it will begin to add the ColorStrips.

Your ColorStrips should now should be be ready for App control and use.
