🔌 What to Use to Charge It
In concert with your included USB-C cable, you should use a USB-C Power Delivery (PD) wall charger that can supply from up to 60W.
You'll use the C1 port on you Vault as the Input to charge the Vault.
✅ Ideal Charger
- USB-C PD charger
- 60W output (or higher — it will negotiate down safely)
- Supports PD profiles up to 20V ⎓ 3A
Examples (any brand is fine):
- 60W USB-C laptop charger (MacBook / Chromebook / Windows USB-C)
- 65W USB-C PD GaN charger
- Multi-port charger as long as one port can deliver 60W on its own
🔋 Why This Matters (Quick Breakdown)
Your input spec:
5V ⎓ 3A = 15W
9V ⎓ 3A = 27W
12V ⎓ 3A = 36W
15V ⎓ 3A = 45W
20V ⎓ 3A = 60W ← max / fastest
- The device negotiates power automatically
- A weaker charger will still work, but very slowly
- A proper 60W PD charger lets it charge at full speed
🚫 What NOT to Use
Avoid these if you want normal charge times:
- ❌ Old phone chargers (5V ⎓ 1A or 2A)
- ❌ USB-A to USB-C cables
- ❌ “Fast charge” bricks that are not USB-C PD
- ❌ Wireless chargers
These will either:
- Charge extremely slowly
- Or not charge at all
⏱️ Real-World Expectation
- With 60W PD: reasonable charge time for a ~200Wh unit
- With 18–30W: works, but expect much longer
- With 10–12W: borderline impractical
Bottom line
👉 Use a USB-C PD wall charger rated at 60W (or higher) with a USB-C to USB-C cable.
