My Vacuum Is Dead/Not Accepting A Charge

If your vacuum seems to be dead, or not accepting charge while at the docking station, take the following steps to ensure the vacuum is properly lined up to charge on the charging dock.

A few things to note getting started:

• When you plug the charging dock to a wall outlet, an indicator light lights up on the charging dock.

However, this indicator light only indicates that the dock is connected to a power source.

When your vacuum is charging, an indicator light on the topside of the circular vacuum will strobe, and stay solidly lit once fully charged.

• Turn your vacuum upside down, and notice the pair of (two) silver colored charging sensors.

Both of these sensors need to be touching the two silver colored charging sensors on the dock for the vacuum to charge at the docking station.

To guide the vacs sensors to be perfectly centered on the docks sensors, try the following methods:

Method #1: Use Your Fingers

Step 1:

Place your index fingers on both of the sensors on the vacuums underside.

Step 2:

Aiming to have both the vacuums sensors and the docks sensors meet perfectly, place the vacuum on the dock.

Your index fingers should still be sandwiched between the vacuums sensor and the docks sensor.

Step 3:

Slide your index fingers slowly away; you should feel the vacuum's sensors 'meet' the docks sensors squarely as you do this.

Wait several seconds for the power indictor light on the vacuum to light up on its own.

The charging light on the vacuum will be strobing to indicate that it is charging. The light will turn solid once the vacuum is fully charged.

Method #2: Operate Upside Down

Take away the guesswork if your sensors are aligned by initiating the dock reintroduction process with the vacuums sensors facing you instead of the floor.

Step 1:

Lay your vacuum on the floor belly side up. In this position, you can clearly see where the silver sensors are on the vacuum.

Step 2:

Take your still plugged in dock off the floor, turn it upside down, and sandwich the sensors on the dock against the vacuums sensors.

Press and hold together for up to 15 seconds until the vacuum beeps and lights up.

Step 3:

Take care while flipping the sandwiched vac and dock back over that the sensors continue to touch and are still touching when the vacuum is returned to the right side up position.

The charging light on the vacuum will be strobing to indicate that it is charging. The light will turn solid once the vacuum is fully charged.

Method #3: Check For Uneven Flooring

If the flooring where the vacuum is docked is not level/uneven, this extra incline difference can be what is keeping the silver sensors on the dock and vacuum from meeting each other.

Try the following steps to see if this is the issue.

Step 1:

While the vacuum is docked, push the vacuum onto the dock completely so the vacuum bumps the docks top half.

Step 2:

Lift the side of the vacuum that is off the dock ever so slightly to 'level' the vacuum, while slowly pulling the vacuum down the dock. Stop when sensors meet and the vacuums charging indicator light lights up and starts to strobe.

The charging light on the vacuum will be strobing to indicate that it is charging. The light will turn solid once the vacuum is fully charged.

If the vacuum lights up when this fix is applied, consider relocating the charging dock to more level flooring in the house so this issue disappears.
